Weeks 20 & 21

How far along?:  Weeks 20 & 21
Possibly the worst 2 weeks of this pregnancy...
more on that coming in another post.

Gender: Surprise! Surprise!
Heart rates currently at 146 and 123 now...
any guesses?
Weight gain: 10 pounds
Maternity clothes: Oh  yes, although my belly
band is coming in handy with some of my pre maternity
pants still.
Stretch Marks: Not yet
Belly Button in or out: In, but Keith keeps saying he can't
believe it's not out yet! It's so close! haha
Sleep: Getting up 3-4 times a night to go to the bathroom now.
Once I get back in bed, my mind starts wandering.
Best moment this week: Taking the babies to their first
Opening Day festivities.
It was a GORGEOUS day--warm weather, blue skies,
and baseball. Sigh.....
Worst moment this week: Our anatomy scans did not go as
well as I had hoped. Again, I will put that in a separate post.
Miss anything: A life without worrying...
but does anyone have that?!
Movement: Yes!
After teasing Keith for many weeks,
he finally got to feel the babies "dancing"
in my tummy. It made me tear up.
Cravings: Again, probably not the healthiest of cravings,
but Bacon Cheeseburgers and Sunkist
(until I found out Sunkist has caffeine...oops!...., and I had
to switch to Caffeine Free Orange Crush).
Queasy or sick: Not any more! Still can't eat grilled chicken though....
Looking forward to: Working on the nursery and upcoming baby showers!

Weeks 18 & 19

How far along?:  Weeks 18 & 19
This is our halfway mark since the doctors
have decided they will not let me go on past 38
weeks. July 22nd, here we come!
Gender: Surprise! Surprise!
Heart rates currently at 154 and 137 now...
any guesses?
Weight gain: 5 pounds
Maternity clothes: Yes! Yes! Yes! I've
been trying to hang on to my non maternity pants
and just use my belly band, but it might be
time to start investing in some maternity pants.
It's just so hard to think about pants when spring dresses
are right around the corner!
Stretch Marks: Not yet, but I'm anticipating them!
Belly Button in or out: In, but getting smaller daily!
Sleep: Sleeping well!
I really have to stop watching Criminal Minds though....
Best moment this week: So many that I have to put them in order!

1. Celebrating my godson, Ben's, 3rd birthday!
This little guy is such a character and SO.MUCH.FUN!
Happy birthday, Super Ben!

2. I was able to spend a day enjoying a baby shower for a friend who also
had to go to IRH. What a proud mommy she is!
She looks fantastic and I am so happy that we met.
Having her ahead of me in this pregnancy has been
a life saver!

3. I had an Orange Leaf Date with my friend, Katie.
My cup is on the right.
I must say this is the oddest combination
I have ever created!
But, wow, it was so good!

4. Our cribs came this week!
I bet who ever delivered all of these packages,
absolutely LOVED all of the stairs leading to our
porch....

5. I teach math to all of the 2nd graders at our school.
On Pi Day, 3.14 (March 14th), I hosted a
Hawaiian Beach Day for our students
and families.
The students enjoyed math read alouds, poems, and
math activities all day. At 2:30, the students' family members
came to school and the students taught their family
members how to play some of our math games
we learned this year.
We had tropical music, decorations,
and Hugs juice with little umbrellas in them.
Here is a picture of me with my fabulous
second grade team members!

6. We attended our TotSaver CPR class this weekend.
Such valuable information!
7. We had dinner with my dad's family and my niece,
Lily, started a baby name list for us since Keith and I
are struggling to agree on names. Lily is awesome and
came up with some fabulous names!
Miss anything: I am LOVING being pregnant!
I don't miss anything this week!
Movement: Yes!
Although as soon as Keith tries to feel them,
they COMPLETELY stop.
They like teasing him already and it makes me giggle.
Cravings: Orange sunkist!!!
Queasy or sick: Not any more! Still can't eat grilled chicken though....
Looking forward to: Keith being able to feel the babies moving, our tour
of the hospital, and SPRING BREAK!
Can I get a "Hooray!" for warmer weather?!

Weeks 16 & 17

How far along?:  Weeks 16 & 17

Gender: Surprise! Surprise!
Heart rates currently at 154 and 126 now...
any guesses?
Weight gain: I gained the pound back that I lost last time.
Now I am up to 4 pounds!
Maternity clothes: Yes! Yes! Yes! Old Navy
did have a nice clearance sale on their winter items,
so I decided to grab a size bigger than my normal size.
Even though they aren't maternity,
they are working well!
Stretch Marks: No
Belly Button in or out: In
Sleep: Sleeping well!
Best moment this week: When we went to our ultrasound appointment,
Baby A was calm like always.
What was Baby B up to, you ask?
Oh, just sitting on Baby A's face.
No big deal.
Also, we had NKU's Basketball Homecoming this weekend,
and it was nice to catch up with friends and show off the bump!
Miss anything: I am LOVING being pregnant!
I don't miss anything this week!
Movement: Yes!
I was laying on the couch, and I felt a tickle under
my belly button.
I thought it may be gas, but had Keith come and feel just to see.
I knew that if he felt it, it was gas.
If he couldn't, it was our little babes!
Sure enough, he couldn't feel the tiny tickle that was
happening inside me.
The ultrasound tech and doctor confirmed that what
I was feeling was probably the babies moving due
to where the placentas are located.
One of the best feelings ever!
Cravings: This is so bad, but....
Lay's Potato Chips and chip dip.
Definitely not my healthiest food choice,
but wow it is satisfying some cravings right now!
Queasy or sick: Not any more! Still can't eat grilled chicken though....
Looking forward to: Keith being able to feel the babies moving, a twin sale
happening this weekend, and showering Baby Liam at Shawna's Baby Shower!
