We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo! How about you, you, you?

Today Steve, Lisa, Madelyn, Jaida and I headed to the zoo.
What a great day to go!
Jaida was able to see and touch so many animals!

Here she is feeding a mommy camel and her baby:

Jaida was able to pet about 10 tortoises
(at first she was afraid and ran out of the area, then wanted back in!),
and then we took this picture by a nearby statue.

This is one of my favorite pictures of the day.
I asked Lisa to take a picture of Jaida and me.
She didn't know how to use my smartphone,
so she put the lens up to her eye and snapped the picture!
hehe makes me chuckle everytime!

Here we are in Gorilla world.
As we walked up, Jaida shouted,
"Gorilla is picking his nose!"
haha She was right!
There he was picking away,
and eating it too! Ew!

After seeing the gorillas and eating lunch,
we HAD to get some ice cream.
Originally, Jaida said she did not want ice cream
(was this due to the fact that her favorite word for the month of June was "no"),
and then once she saw our ice cream she had to have some!

Here is Madelyn eyeing our ice cream
and wondering why we aren't giving her any!

We took this pic and sent it as a
joke to Madelyn's mama, Amanda. :)

Once we finished our delicious ice cream,
we wanted to see the baby zebra that was just
born less than a month before.
I was so excited to see that the baby was named Savanna,
and quickly sent this picture to my favorite Savannah
in the whole world!

Jaida was also able to feed the giraffes today too!
Unfortunately, I do not have a pic of that,
but I was so excited to hold her while she was feeding the giraffe.
Must I say I was a little jealous of her that I didn't get to feed it?!?!
haha
You know how I am about giraffes people!

After a fun-filled day at the zoo,
we went back to Steve and Lisa's for some quiet time.
After Jaida relaxed for a bit,
we headed out into the backyard for some swinging time.
Jaida and I were recapping our day, talking about
all of the things we had seen at the zoo.
One of the last things she said before I took the picture below is,
"Uncle Steve is a silly monkey."
After I finished laughing at her hilarious comment (where does she get this stuff?!)
I look over, and she looked like this:

Oh, to be two again!

Can't wait to visit the zoo again soon!
