An Illness & A Delivery

Today I had to take a sick day from school because I am still not feeling better from my sinus infection that began in DECEMBER!
I thought that the crazy weather was just causing my head to feel groggy, but it is now February and I am still not feeling any relief.

I hate to take sick days (I did not take one sick day last year!),
but when I finally conceded to my illness and called the doctor,
the only time they could get me in was 11:30 today.

When I got there, I explained to my doctor that I had MY FIRST SINUS INFECTION EVER in December.  Up until December 2011, I had no idea why people complained so much about sinus infections.  I had heard people describing the constant, terrible pressure, but just assumed it was no worse than a clogged head from a cold.
I apologize now for judging all of those folks!
Having a sinus infection felt like I had just had a ton of dental work done!
My whole face felt swollen and achy.

As I am telling the story, I can feel my doctor's glaring caring eyes as I know she was probably wondering why she hadn't seen me in December.  I admitted that I didn't want to take time off to rest, so I just ran to the Walgreen's clinic on my plan bell one day and received a prescription for Amoxicillin.

She concluded that the clinic's prescription was not strong enough or prescribed long enough to kill the rotten germs lingering in my body.
This month's prescription: A super dose of Amoxicillin for 21 days...ugh!
21 days!
I almost fell off the medical bed!
Note to self: Next time, suck it up and call the doctor first.

After picking up my prescription and kicking myself a hundred times,
I arrived home to this.

Every year for Christmas, I ask Keith for a photo calendar.
A photo calendar is absolutely positively one of my favorite Christmas items.
This year, Keith and I decided that we would make it together.
Obviously we didn't get our acts together to get it done in December...or uh January, but finally it is here!

Oh little calendar, I have felt incomplete without you.
Now, I feel that my hectic life can be more at peace.

Here's a peek at February:

We made February's pictures all about things we love:
each other, Maddy, our friends and family, food and beer!

That was my day!
How was yours?
