Enjoying our anniversary gift

I posted about our 3rd wedding anniversary on June 19th,
but today we are celebrating again while enjoying
one of my gifts to Keith.

Keith LOVES beer.
He loves reading about beer.
He loves talking about beer.
He loves brewing beer.
He loves many beers of all kind.
So when a friend of mine had mentioned
that Keith may like tickets to the
I jumped all over it.
If it has to do with beer,
Keith will enjoy it.

It's a beautiful summer day.
Not too hot, not too cool,
but just right!
We hopped in the car and drove down to
the start of the brewery tour, Findlay Market,
Believe it or not, Keith and I have lived in
Cincinnati our whole lives and have
never been to Ohio's oldest farmers' market.
Wow!
Have we been missing out!

After checking in for the tour,
we decided to hang out in the Biergarten
and enjoy some beverages
(and maybe some people watching too!).

Then it was time for our tour to begin.
This was a walking tour through all of the old
breweries in the once very populated
Over-the-Rhine community.
Unfortunately, prohibition put a damper on the
breweries' success and many of them were
forced to close.
Thankfully a group has been formed to
revitalize Over-the-Rhine and the breweries.

This brewery has actually been purchased and
will be turned into an art gallery.

After the educating hour and a half walking tour,
we were starving!
So we headed back to Findlay Market
to see what we could sink our teeth into.
We decided on a Chipotle style cuisine.
Yum! Yum! Yum!

I also needed some gelato in my life!

While I was eating my gelato,
Keith was enjoying this...

...and then we saw this pretty little lady...

our niece, Trinity!
We had no idea that Trinity and family would
be down here on this gorgeous day,
and it was such a fun surprise.
She was so excited to tell us about the
geodes she had just purchased.

Before leaving the market,
Keith and I purchased
some delicious, fresh cherries.

I heart summer!
Happy Anniversary, Mr. Messer!
